Insomnia with Monroe

“From time to time I make it rhyme, but don't hold that kind of thing against

me. Oh well, what the hell, so it won't sell what I want to tell-

is what's on my mind: 'taint Dishes, 'taint Wishes, its thoughts flinging by

before I die- and to think in ink.” Marilyn Monroe

I don’t know about many, but I love documentaries. If there’s an interesting documentary or docu-drama I can’t help but to watch. The other day I stumble upon a two hour documentary on the life of Marilyn Monroe and I listened to the quote above, and I connected to it. My writing often times has the same characteristic and I have the same approach to what others may think about it at times. Making sense of life, creating a poem with music or pulling a whole new world out of the sky.

After having that thought I also realized that we don’t have a lot else in common, but that’s how most of us are. We are not the same but there’s something about every person that is identical to every other person.

…Just a thought.
